Guile Takes Flight: Revisiting the Forgotten Street Fighter Heli-Fighter

Welcome to The Outpost. Today I’m taking a look at the 1995 Street Fighter Heli Fighter. This vehicle used the original Dragonfly mold only switching up a few things like the missiles, color, and added a projectile launcher on one of the side fins. Other than that I don’t believe there are any other differences. The vehicle comes with a blue version of Guile? I think this was a strange time in Joe history as the original line had come to an end in 1994, but this was an interesting crossover that kept GI Joe alive.

The Street Fighter line was interesting and perhaps not for everyone but I enjoyed the line as a whole. This is just a great reuse of one of the all time great GI Joe vehicles, and a line that may have been forgotten. This did help us get through while we waited for GI Joe to relaunch, or perhaps like many Joe fans we were on a new chapter in our life and didn’t even realize this had even happened. Either way this helped bridge the gap and made for an interesting time.
